My air broke down while my husband was out of town and I was nervous about having a worker at my home without him here. Chris came out and diagnosed it as some relay switch and fixed it right away. He also repaired some wiring that was damaged. I was impressed because he was willing to stay on the phone with my husband while he was here and explained everything to him from start to finish. I will continue to use complete air, they were honest and reasonably priced and made me feel comfortable

DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR PROMISES!

At my request, and since he company that installed my unit had gone out of that business, a Complete Air Mechanical technician checked my A.C, charging $65,. Fair enough. He advised replacing a part. Since it was covered under manuf. warranty he said they would charge only for labor, plus shipping IF they did not have the item in stock, which he thought they did. Service call and 10 percent senior discount. (whiaboutasked about, based on heir advertising) as advertised, would be deducted. when the service was performed. Installation was completed, this time the bill came to $1100, which seemed pretty high for about an hour's labor and maybe shipping. The installer said he knew nothing about deducting the $65 initial fee or about the senior discount; he also refused to phone the office for permission, insisting on me paying the full $1100. no questions asked. I took the matter up with the office and got the old run-around. Like "the district manager is the only one who can authorize that, and they're out today. No, I don't know when they'll be available, but I'll have them call you." Another time, :"They'll call you right back." After waiting over a month without a reply to my many phone calls, I wrote to the president, Mrs.Melinda Sipple. It was a low-key letter asking for an itemized statement or breakdown of the charge and requesting that they honor their senior discount as adverrtised (hey, I'm over 90, so there was never a question of eligibilty.) ) In a pattern all too familiar, she totally ignored the letter . No explanation, no apology, not even a simple statement that they wee looking into it. And they want us to believe that their top goal is to build trust among their customers? The company has never given me a clear statement of how they arrived at the price of $1100. for a part the original manufacturer provided them free... maybe the charge is legitimate, but they have yet to justify it. Weeks later a salesperson phoned to say it was time to schedule a check-up. I explained that when I get their convincing explanation, I'll be ready, but not till then. It still hasn't come, so my business goes to a competitor. Background: In all my years of dealing with companies in this business I've never before Thad to enter a complaint. But this experience burns me up. So I strongly advise: STAY AWAY FROM COMPLETE AIR MECHANICAL! Or, if you do use them, do not trust their promises, even if .they advertise them in current coupons or the Yellow Pages. Maybe not even if they put them in writing! When a Complete Air Mechanical salesperson phoned to say it was time to schedule annual maintenance, I offered to consider that if they straightened things out first. He said he would pass that word along and someone would get back to me. Of course they didn't. So my business goes elsewhere.

◦Good service, but EXPENSIVE!

Early in January this year, their technicians spent about 15 man-hrs total on my job, allowing 1 hr travel each way for each tech, and I'm over-estimating slightly.

Total parts were worth about $200-$250, full-price retail, not accounting for contractor's discounts.

IF this firm charged $100 / man-hr (that's 6 hrs total travel = $600 for travel alone I'm giving them), my estimate for this job means I was Over-Charged about $1,000! Repeating, MY ESTIMATE of $100 / man-hr and $250 retail parts is on the high side, and I allowed 6 hrs of total travel time! Their invoice did Not detail the charges I estimated here.

The techs were competent and provided good service, but CAMCF Inc is expensive.
