My loved one's experience at The Plaza at Lubbock was horrible. The first few times I went to visit were fine and it seemed like a good place but as I continued to visit I witnessed a nurse being very rude and impatient with my relatives roommate. The nurse went in to give both my relative and her roommate their daily medication, the nurse said "I like you because you don't give me any problems,(referring to my relative) but her thats a different story" (referring to her roommate). The nurse said " I don't have time for this, I'm trying to go home" as it was a Friday night at 7pm, the elderly woman was refusing to take her medication because the nurse crushed her pills and made it into a paste. and the woman was wanting to see what medication was being given to her as they have mixed it up once before with another patient, which caused her to hallucinate. The nurse was tossing things around on the table and walked out. The elderly woman only speaks spanish and every time I have gone to visit, either I or my relative have to translate for her and the staff. I asked a staff member if they had someone on staff that is bilingual and she said yes but she's always busy. They claim this woman is just being "difficult" but I have been there enough times to say she has legitimate reasons for being "difficult". As I was walking out I noticed there was vomit in the drinking fountain so I informed a staff member and she replied with " Yea, I would be careful where you drink out of in this facility" and I said "excuse me"? she then apologized and said she will have someone clean it up. The next time I went to visit I was told by my relative that a man in scrubs that has never been seen there before went into her room and tried to undress her roommate but the woman refused and he forcefully threw her onto the bed and she began to yell and woke my relative up so he left the room. This elderly woman has no relatives in Lubbock and has parkinson's, she violently starts to shake every time a staff member walks into the room. Also my relative has been infected with ring worm in different parts of her body as well as a woman in a different room, This means they are not sanitizing properly and they serve only sides to the main dish during dinner sometimes because they run out of the main course. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.
