can find good customer service and items you cannot find in the large commercial stores

I have been a regular customer for the last few years. I NEVER have to go anywhere else to find anything I need. The folks who work here are very knowledgeable about all of their products and what other items (not actually on their shelves) are available for special order. You can even buy anthracite coal in the 40 pound sack here. You can find every not, bolt and screw here in almosy any type of material -- plain steel, hot dipped galvanized, electrogalvanized, stainless steel, etc. Fast friendly service.

I highly recommend J E Rice. Every time I go in there they have what I need. In addition they are knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. I've lived in several different places and been in a lot of hardware stores and J E Rice ranks right with the best.
