General Info

Midwife means “with woman.” It means creating an individualized care plan for each patient to help them feel empowered, safe, and informed. No matter what birth experience they want or have, I help my patients understand that the birth process is normal. I make sure my patients feel heard and that I take their concerns seriously. I like to include my patients’ families and support networks when possible. This might mean showing a family member how to do hands-on labor support or having a support person cut the cord. I want both the patient and their support people to feel valued in becoming a family. My goal is to help my patients feel empowered by their birth experience.
