AYUDA is a community-based nonprofit organization in Miami Beach, Fla., that was established in 1977 to receive and maintain funds and apply the income principle to develop and administer programs that promote the psychological, educational, rehabilitative and medical well-being of the residents of Miami-Dade County. Its programs include early childhood scholarships, various enrichment programs, girls reach high project, family empowerment, parents now, counseling, substance abuse prevention, elderly advocacy and support and a representative payee program. AYUDA has collaborated with many agencies such as the Metro Dade Department of Human Services, Child Development Services, Department of Education, Nutritional Services Division, Department of Housing and Urban Development.
