My wift and I went to Palate for the first time this week; we were celebrating my birthday and decided to try out a new restaurant. Our server (Apollo, i believe) was excellent and the food was great! I got a blackened DelMonico steak (worth the price) and my wife got the Reuben with Cream of Mushroom soup. Overall, very good experience!

We have had several great meals at the Palate. We love sitting out on the back patio, a great place to watch the sunset. The veggie burger is one of the best that we have ever had! Yesterday we tried the tomato soup, delish!

The Palate is a nice addition to the Milford area. BTW, every new place goes through a few tough days when they open but the Palate is headed in the right direction. We will be back.

This place is a mess. I've bee...

This place is a mess. I've been here twice just to give it another try. My experience was WORSE the second time around. First time the service was slow and we waited over an HOUR for our pizza. Our waitress forgot to ring in two of our appetizers, which then, after several reminders, came out almost as late as the pizza. Did they even test run anything before they opened???

And when we got it I almost laughed. It was a sorry excuse for a true neapolitan pie. What a waste of time. The waitress (she had red hair) was obnoxious, (not to mention FORGETFUL), severely patronizing and touched my friend on the arm and shoulder multiple times. Creepy. Very Coney's Island diner-esque.

Fitting actually.

Second time . . . . the super duper ipads they all carry around to take orders CRASHED and basically the whole dining room went without their meals. Our meal was delivered very haphazardly and most of it was cold. Our waiter disappeared for what seemed like an eternity. He never even asked how are food was!! We had our entire order comped and the hostess tried to placate us with free dessert. (Which was just irritating and pathetic.)

I was reluctant to comment online the first time but after Palate managed to outdo themselves in epic failure the second time they were begging for this.

Poor waistaff training, poor kitchen communication and a complete utter failure in food standards. I don't care if they are "new". They seem to be completely delusional in that they have not addressed the very basics.

I am, of course, NEVER going back.

Absolutely ridiculous. I waite...

Absolutely ridiculous. I waited until a few weeks after they were open, hoping that I would find a knowledgeable staff and a polished menu.

This place is a joke. I asked a few simple questions about the menu to my server. (Which is still very limited even after being open three weeks.) He could not answer them and gave me a deer-in-the-headlights look. The menu is laid out with a section called "Share the Love" small plates and the server said they were all large enough for two. NOT TRUE. Both the roasted pumpkin salad and the prosciutto melon plate that came out for one of my companions were incredibly small. We sent the salad back to be remade. I ordered the mussels and the Canadian caesar salad, only to have them come out TOTALLY DIFFERENT than the server described. My friend got the burger and idaho fries, both were cold. Had to send these back. The burger was overdone and the fries were a cold squishy mess. The food took over half an hour to arrive in the first place! The room we were in was absurdly loud and we couldn't hear each other talk over all the screaming drunk people. Very disappointing food, ignorant service and a painfully loud environment. And the server suggested, when questioned, an Atwater with both the burger and mussels.

REALLY??

This place is best for those of you who are used to unprepared, ignorant backwoods service and substandard food. (Oh - and for those of you who aren't quite sure what carpaccio or mussels are.)

Terrible!!!!

What a waste of time and money. Food is terrible and so is the staff. Ditzy staff who only care if they look cute rather than waiting on customers. Food was dry and had no flavor :( waste of time don't bother
