Stay away from these Guys. These guys packed and shipped my Luggage from Pleasanton, CA to Phoenix AZ. There is a physical damage on my TV and I called these Guys about my TV. They asked me to contact "claims12320@yahoo.com" which nobody ever responds :( :(
Please learn from our mistakes and do not use Golden State Van Lines. I wish we had paid more for a legitimate moving company with higher standards of service. Golden State Van Lines lost multiple boxes of ours, more than $2,500 worth of value, and we witnessed them damage other items when they were unloading, including our nicest piece of furniture, by being rough and careless and slamming things around. Since we brought it to the company's attention that several of our boxes were missing, they were slow and disorganized in their response and unclear about the steps they were taking to locate the missing items or the process for recourse. To get any updates from them on what was happening with their search, we would have to call and call their office line until someone picked up. Then we would be told that they were still working on it and needed more time.
Two weeks after we told them about our missing items, we were told we could begin the process for filing a claim. Their Claims Department staff consists of one person who was also difficult to reach. And since we had limited liability insurance, we will only get reimbursed 60 cents per pound of missing items. This will be a huge financial loss to us, as this doesn’t take into account the value of the missing items at all.
In the end it will save you money to use a better company. But if you do use this company, label all your boxes and document exactly what’s in them, pay for good insurance, and cross your fingers that things turn out okay.
what can I say other than they made moving fun. they laid out everything on the table, no gimmicks no undisclosed fees, they told me upfront and gave me a good service. they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive one but they gave me a five star service at three star cost. would definitely use them and recommend them
They stood out among many people that were competing for my business. They were professional but not pushy like most. took time to listen to my concerns and gave me a quote that make sense, not too low like some and not very expensive like the big guys. pretty much kept their promise and made sure to update me along the way. I even got a phone call a day later from a nice gentle man asking for a feed back and encouraging me to write them a review. very pleased with their service from A to Z.
I used them last month and they were great. Their rate was competitive and the lady on the phone was very informative and diligent. They squeeze me in on a busy weekend on a short notice, got a confirmation call a day before, the driver called me half hour prior and move was completed with in the allotted time. The guys were fast and efficient, yet very carefully. No gimmicks or surprises, straight to the point and forward. will recommend them to family and friends.
