What a studio!!!!!!!!!! FINAL...

What a studio!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY a studio that is odorless! BYM is clean, caring, and has 4 amazing certified Bikram instructors! Did I mention that is is ODORLESS!?! Their flooring is antimicrobial and prevents stink! Yahoo! Thank you!

I have been practicing Bikram for 12 years and I have to admit I was not a fan at first. The heat, the sweating, and worst of all the smell of other studios assaulted my nose over and over again. HOWEVER the post workout benefits (glowing clear skin, weight loss, toned muscles, sound sleeping throughout the night and a calmer attitude toward life) brought me back again and again. It is the hardest routine you will ever love.

BYM has Matt, Corey, Jess and Dina. I have taken each one's class and continue to learn and grow in my practice! They are the best instructors I have had in 12 years of practicing. My work takes me around the country and I have practiced in over 15 different studios and not one holds a candle to this studio and its teachers.

They are strictly Bikram - dialogue, heat, humidity, and routine. What sets them apart is they watch and guide each student! They knew my name on the first class! Corrections are clear and kind and feedback is immediate. They get down off of the podium and help with alignment and placement. "Suffer for 90 minutes or 90 years," is my favorite Bikram reference.

They really thought of everything a yogi could need to practice from Newbies, to beginners to advanced practitioners. All you really need is a mat, towel, water and an open mind. If you forget your supplies, you can rent a mat or towel for ONLY a dollar each. And get this, if you need water, to reduce wasting plastic, they provide Poland Springs water jugs for refills. Fill your bottle and "feed to the pig" - a little blue piggy bank- with a small donation. If you are running low on energy, you can buy an Emergen-C (.50 cents) or coconut water or energy drink for $2.00.

After class they have 3 large changing rooms or you can shower! If you need another towel, rent on for a dollar and they do the laundry for you! Each locker room has 2 showers for "Yoga Showers" - complete with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Yoga Showers are short in length (3-4 mins) to save water and accommodate other students waiting. The women's room has 3 blow drying stations (the men's has one).

Lastly, if you need to pick-up a new yoga top or shorts to reward yourself for all you hard work (Bikram is NOT easy but so worth it), they have yoga gear, Yogi toes to and Manduka towels, too.

I can't wait to practice again and again. Thanks, BYM! We needed a studio over here.
