I took 2 lessons at fox crossing and will not be back! For my first lesson I was quickly told where to find the tack, and horse and to get everything ready myself. It took me awhile to find the right horse and catch him. I was not even familiar with the place so it wasn't a good feeling to start off with.I had no help tacking up and the horse, who was trying to nip at me during the process- nobody even checked up on me to see if I needed help. I had to find the trainer when I was ready to ride in the ring. I paid a good amount for an private hour dressage/flat lesson and it was not worth the money ! I rode in the indoor ring, which was dimly lit, not in good condition and there were jumps everywhere and they were in the way. On top of that there was a jumping lesson going on while I'm taking my flat lesson. The other girl riding was very much a beginner and I had to avoid her from riding into me on several occasions. On top of that there was a third rider practicing in the indoor ring aswell, and with everything going on the horse was getting fresh and I was getting anxiety. If I paid for a private lesson why am I sharing the ring with 2 other horses and riders? Seems pretty unsafe to me, and their indoor is very small compared to other places. When I was done I had to untack and put the horse away myself, with no help or even a goodbye. The staff was unhelpful, almost non existent and rude. I gave the barn another chance and booked my second lesson at a different time hoping I could have it quiet, safe, and possibly actually enjoy my lesson ,but that was worse because there were 4 riders in the ring. I looked into a lease option so I could ride at other times, and avoid the unsafe lesson dilemma. I got many promises and nobody gave me any results, help or papers to get the process moving. I guess they didn't want my business or simply just don't care. This place is unsafe, doesn't care about the rider and overall a waste of money. I've been to many of barns and this ranks one of the worst in my book.-Maari L
