I had this company repair and replace all bricks in my chimney and patio skirt, a tech named steve came out, he was very professional and knowledgable. His craftmanship was so impressive I immediately contracted him to do all of my rental properties I own as well. A+, job well done.

I've never had my chimney cleaned /swept. I heard a noise from my fireplace that I thought was an animal, so figured this would be a good time (my cats heard it too because they were lurking and standing guard). I called the emergency number and spoke with the owner Steve about my problem. He was very understanding, professional, and prompt. Steve (and Rob) inspected and completed the sweep all within a few hours of my call (on a Saturday!), and at a reasonable price versus others I tried. There was no animal, but I got a piece of mind, education, and my first sweep! It wasn't a real emergency, but it was urgent to me that I have it addressed asap and he delivered. Very pleased and would recommend them. I also plan on using them in the future for my chimney and porch work.

The owner of Detroit City Sweep responded to my emergency within a few hours on a Saturday, providing me with a reasonable quote within hours of my call. He also cleared his schedule to perform the job on the very same day. This was a huge relief to have such quick service.



He was able to tear apart the brick, remove the dead carcasses, clean out my chimney and make my fireplace functionable within a very short period of time. It is apparent that Stephen was highly competent in his field. I think the most important part is that Stephen treated me with respect even though I am a woman with very limited knowledge of the problems I was having with my chimney, this is very difficult to find when dealing with contractors. I would highly recommend Stephen for any of your chimney needs.
