My car was towed here Sunday July 23, 2017. It was delivered to the repair shop on July 26, 2017. My car was damaged and they stole everything out of my car!!! They stole my iPhone and android chargers, the plugs (one was a dual USB port, the other was a single), they took all of the change out of my car, my iPod charger and even the damn air freshener spray!!! I called and spoke with a guy named Malik this morning and he said "people sometimes climb the fence" ok and if you know this, why was my car left unlocked?? Do not go here at all!!

I have worked for Universal Towing for a month. When I started they didn't tell me they weren't keeping DOT log records of what was being towed so I didn't keep track of everything I was towing and when payday comes around they tell me they can't pay me because they don't have any records of the towing logs. I should have quit then but I gave them the benifit of the doubt that would find a way to pay me and make things right another 2 weeks go by and they still haven't paid me it's now going on a month with no income. I finally have quit working for them. Now I have to seek an attorney to take them to court just to get paid for the whole month I have worked for them. All of there tow trucks have mechanical issues and are not safe to be on the road. I was always told to avoid DOT check points because they are afraid of DOT shutting them down. For a towing company that has a contract with Baltimore City Police Department is a surprise that DOT hasn't shut them down. I will be contacting DOT and the state departments to see why there is no investigation going on with this company. They are impounding customers cars illegally without the proper paperwork. If there are any people that feel that you car has been impounded illegally please send me a reply and I will do my best to help you in court and testify to what has been going on at Universal Towing at 2560 Lauretta Ave Baltimore Maryland 21223. They are always hiring drivers off the street with NO towing experience and they do not always pay their drivers on time. Previous drivers have quit working for them because they are having a hard time getting a paycheck. They are constantly screwing their drivers when it comes to payroll. You have to chase them down to get a pay check and the pay checks don't always clear. There tow trucks are leaking major fluids all over the city streets while on scene during Baltimore City Police calls. They have a strict contract with Baltimore City Police Department and almost every rule has been broken during these police impounds. Nothing is legal about the business operation that they are contracted to do for the City Of Baltimore. They are breaking every DOT Law in the state of Maryland when they are towing vehicles. They are not using the proper safety straps or safety chains as required by Maryland State DOT safety regulations including no tag lights on vehicles. Their flatbed tow trucks are not using 4pt tie downs as required by in the State Of Maryland as required by law. All of these laws are being broken during their contracted Baltimore City Police tows. I will be working with State Of Maryland DOT and City Of Baltimore to start taking pictures of all of the laws that are being broken. It is very dangerous towing vehicles without the safety equipment being used while hauling these vehicles down the road at unsafe speeds. It is possible for one of the vehicles to come off the tow truck and kill a innocent child or family. I am a Nationally Certified Tow Operator and I have personally witnessed all of these State Laws being broken.
