My name is Chris Langhorn and I am a Texas Instrument T^3 Regional Math Instructor. I provide professional developments on how to integrate technology and TI products into the classroom for middle/high school mathematics and science. Also, I coach teachers and I create custom lessons to help make the classroom an interactive learning environment for 21st century students. The professional developments are designed for new and veteran teachers to maximize the use of all technical resources and to meet common core standards. With strong interest in guiding the academic development of students, I present the following qualifications; highlights of my skills include: Implementing the use of Texas Instruments TI-30, TI-73, TI-83, TI-84, TI-Nspire, TI-Nspire CX, TI-Nspire CAS, TI-89, TI-Navigator, TI-Navigator CX, and TI-Navigator CAS to construct, manipulate, and reshape objects to clarify abstract concepts for middle school and high school math students. Receiving acknowledgement for developing award-winning students in Algebra and Geometry. Demonstrated commitment to educating students and meeting curriculum guidelines, school district standards, and state requirements; developed custom math tests for Grades K–12 for The Princeton Review. Developing new protocols for the California High School Exit Examination Practice Test; Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills Practice Test; and the Los Angeles County Practice Test and Psychometric data. As a Mathematics Content Specialist for The Princeton Review in New York, designing high-quality assessment tools. As a Mathematics Specialist for Texas Instruments in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Texas, designing high-quality common core curriculum and lessons. T3 Teaching with Technology Regional Instructor. Master of Education in Education Technology; Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. 5th Column Math will provide the following: • 5th Column Math will identify the technology challenges that are present in the classroom and help teachers find simple cost effective solutions that will benefit their classrooms. • Through observations, 5th Column Math will identify the current instructional practices and help individual teachers formulate a plan to meet the needs of their students. • 5th Column Math offers face to face training and professional developments to support the needs of teachers and 21st century learners. • 5th Column Math will help teachers formulate lesson with high quality instruction. • Through multiple custom professional developments, teachers will gain a deeper understanding of content as well as pedagogical approaches toward teaching. • 5th Column Math will provide specific training dates during the academic year that will be conducted in pull out workshops and in class demonstrations. • 5th Column Math will help teachers meet the math goals specified by each state agency.
