Plusses:- Curriculum: Academically very challenging. - Extra-curricular activities: A wonderful mix of activities, sports, arts, music, etc. - Teachers: Knowledgeable about their subjects. - School focus: Focus is on academic excellence, personal responsiblity, and honor. When the teachers say that the kids' lockers don't have locks, they mean it! Cheating, stealing, lying, and plagurism are not accepted. - Relationship with home: Even grandparents are involved. Also, alumni tend to send their kids.Minuses:- Tuition: Very pricey. Comparable to college tuition!- Diversity: Although HRA has racial/ethnic diversity, think twice if your kid has ADD, learning disorders, or is immature. The teachers don't seem knowledgeable about such children, perhaps because there aren't many such kids there or such kids don't stay long. The calendar: Vacations, exams, afterschool program, activities are not convenient for working parents. Beware, if not a stay at home parent!
