My daughter is an 8th grader who transferred from "the best at the beach" VA Beach public schools. It is the best thing I could have ever done for her. Her grades have never been better and she plays more than one sport - something she never did in the public school. Thank you PCHS!

My son is a junior at Peninsula Catholic High School. We tranfered him to PC for his 10th grade year after a discouraging Freshman year in a local public school in York County. We have not regretting our decision one day. He has become part of the school and has had many positive experiences that he would not have had if we had not made this choice for him. He is thriving in this smaller environment. He is being challenged academically, has been able to participate in athletics that he would not have had the chance to do, and is learning more about his faith. Making this move was the best thing we could have done for him.

My daughter is a Junior at PC. She started there as a Freshman and we have had no regrets. Recently we had an opportunity to attend a service there and it just reinforced that we made the right decision. She is very involved in sports and other activities. She has many friends and flourishes as far as grades are concerned. Her older friends that have graduated come back and talk about how easy college is as a result of the PC experience. Now just to put my comments in perspective for readers. Our family is not Catholic, there are 3 adults in my immediate family that hold various positions within the public school system. PC was the right decision for us, academically, spiritually and socially. It has been a wonderful experience for our entire family. The students there embrace each others differences. To the former student that commented, sometimes when you are not happy in a situation, take a look at yourself. PC may not have been right for you, that doesn't mean PC is bad

My daughter is a freshman at PCHS. She entered the school last year as an 8th grader and I can only say it was the best move we ever made in her education. She is happy, challenged and making many, many friends. She is involved in a variety of extra curricular activities. It is costly and I do have to travel some distance from our home on the Southside however I believe it is worth the sacrifice. A great school!

Peninsula Catholic is a college prpeparatory school whose students hav found successcollege preparatory school whose students have found success beyond their high school years thanks to a strong foundation and high expectations. We are proud of our Catholic roots, but warmly welcome students from all faith traditions. We are a school dedicated to service in the local community, nation-wide, and globally. Last year, just over 300 students committed over 11,000 service hours and raised $12,000 for those in need. Our parents choose PC because they are prepared to invest int heir student's future, even if it means financial sacrifice. PC's student body is readily accepting of others, it's faculty is dedicated to students in the classroom and through extra-curricular activites, and the administration seeks ways to incorporate new offerings and enhance current ones so that students have the best chance of success. PC is the finest school on the peninsula and has been for 108 years.

I had the misfortune of graduating from this godforsaken place and going to an prestigious college. I plan to never set foot in that building ever again. I went in as an 8th grade student a devout catholic and left with a distinct hatred of my religion from the way their beliefs, not the church's, THEIR biased beliefs were forced on you in a graded environment where creativity and disagreement led to counseling and lower grades. This place did get me into college and helped me make friends that I'm still close with today to it's credit, but we all joined together in our despise of the place. If you love your children, don't send them there, they're better off in the public system, TRUST ME, and ask any student there away from any faculty that might overhear. Save yourself some money or get the most bang for your buck somewhere, ANYWHERE else.
