The company still follows that same recipe and uses the finest seasonings and the freshest, highest quality cuts of meat, staying true to the recipe's Italian roots. Its Italian sausage has 45 percent fewer calories, 65 percent less fat, 80 percent less saturated fat and 40 percent less cholesterol than the USDA's minimum requirements for Italian sausage.
