I've had many tests and I'm preparing for my second surgery at this hospital and I have always had a pleasant experience at this hospital (excluding the surgeons, but surgeons are terrible everywhere!). The nurses and other staff have been caring and efficient and eager to make any delays more comfortable for me. After the poor care I recived at Utah Valley before my insurance changed, I am thrilled to have such a hard working staff caring for me.

If you deliver your baby and y...

If you deliver your baby and your baby happens to get sent to the NICU for something. After your baby is healthy they will try to keep them as long as they can. My baby has been in for 7 days and has nothing serious wrong anymore and they are just monitoring me nurse my baby. She has been improving and eating well from me but, they are telling me that I can't nurse/bottle feed her every feeding and they won't get rid of the feeding tube. I know if they're dehydrated it is important but, for my feedings she is a full feed. They keep insisting on giving her a feeding tube because she is too tired to eat. She isn't like that for me. That must make their job easier. Let her sleep ALL night long and just push a button to feed her through a tube. It's ridiculous. The NICU is for sick babies that need to be monitored, not babies that just need to be fed more and be with their families. I will never deliver a baby here again for fear that I will have to endure this stupid NICU again. If you do deliver your baby here and they go into this NICU I am so sorry. This has been such a hard thing and especially since she is absolutely perfect and beautiful and I have to see her is such a dark, depressing setting. Good Luck!

I was really sick a few weeks ...

I was really sick a few weeks ago with a severe tooth infection- no dentists would treat me over the holiday for emergency care because I was not an existing patient and I went to 2 instacare facilities practiacally begging for antibiotics to treat the root of the problem. I was turned away again, they explained that they would not give me pain pills- despite telling all places numerous times that I was not in pain but my face and neck were extremely swollen and I need antibiotics to keep from getting worse. Finally I went to Timp Regional- they saw me for what I was, someone in desparate need of medical attention, they treated me with respect and with a sense of urgency I desparately needed. When they finally told me that they would treat me I was bawling my eyes out and so grateful that they were there. I would reccomend this hospital to anyone.
