The company was founded by David Mulchay. He began delivering furniture for an upholstery company in 1987. Eventually, this upholstery company lacked the time to schedule and maintain their own delivery service. Since they were so impressed with the positive responses that they received from their satisfied customers, they made the offer to Mr. Mulchay for the opportunity to rent their truck and begin scheduling their deliveries. He accepted their offer and established Designer's Choice Delivery in 1989. Due to the overwhelming response, Dave was able to purchase his first truck within the next four months. One Designer, referred his services to an Office Furniture Design Firm, who not only needed his delivery service but also needed an installation service. Within that same period, he hired our current Field Superintendent, Loyd Hembree. Together they began delivering and installing the furniture. Many referrals later, the company incorporated in 2000 as Designer's Choice Delivery & Installation, Inc As demand grew, the company grew. With larger quantities of furniture needing delivery and storage, it became necessary to acquire another truck and larger warehousing for the Showrooms, Interior, Office, and Model Home Designers that were consolidating future jobs with the company. With fifteen years of solid business knowledge, 2004 began with experiencing yet another growth spurt. Fortunately, prior to this spurt's beginning, we were able to reorganize our systems to be more efficient ; so, we are effortlessly meeting the challenge. Now, we are looking at our industry, the new technology becoming available, and we are planning for the upcoming changes in way the industry will continue to grow and practice business.
