Welcome to HOT glass baubles and beads! this is MY latest venture in a creative arts career spanning 35 years. For thirty years. I worked AS a production potter bringing MY creative ideas into reality through the medium of clay. Having exhausted the creative possibilities of clay. I retired from pottery several years AGO. Retirement made ME realize I needed a creative outlet. And I decided to explore a NEW medium. HOT glass. The similarities between HOT glass and clay LED ME to lamp working. The spinning of the BEADER’S mandrel reminded ME of the spinning Potter’s wheel. And the heat of the torch reminded ME of the transforming heat of the kiln. Just AS I explored the the possibilities of shape and color in clay. I AM NOW exploring shape and color in glass. MY objective is to create beaded jewelry SO that each piece is uniquely original. I want everyone WHO acquires ONE of MY HOT glass creations to feel the pleasure of wearing a ONE of a kind design. I achieve originality by manipulating the combination of color. Shape. Pattern. And texture for each SET of beads that I produce in MY studio. AS YOU explore MY WEBSITE. Remember that ANY of the items that strike your fancy will BE yours alone! the featured beads for ALL pieces are created by ME in MY studio using the lamp work technique. Every SET of beads is unique AS I strive to vary color and design for each ensemble. The Viking weave roping used for MY necklaces is Also created by ME. Quality SWAROVSKI crystals are used for embellishment and spacing. In order to maintain the lasting beauty of each piece. ALL wire and findings are NON tarnish silver plate.
