About Gateway Cafe The Getaway Café has been in business since 1993 and is independently owned and operated by Lou & Nancy Manolios. Both natives of Pittsburgh, they always dreamed of owning a restaurant that could bring friends and family together for quality food and gourmet dining in a casual family friendly atmosphere with that neighborhood feel. Lou & Nancy believe in top-notch customer service and quality food offerings. Their focus on excellent customer service has set the tone for the Getaway as a place trusted by its "regulars".
