Del Amo is not that bad as they seem just bought my Yamaha R6 got a great price. The salesman was knowledgeble and friendly without being pushy. The apparel department was extremely helpful, and guided me to choosing the correct gear. The finance department was not at all pushy compare to reviews I have read, I originally decided to declined the warranty but after careful consideration I decide to get the warranty with the gap insurance. If you are planning to buy a bike give them a shot.
Despite three NOs! I was tag teamed by a second finance person who explained he has known several customers who whished they had purchased the extended warranty prior to their motorcycle imploding shortly after leaving their showroom. Then they broke out a binder with service record for some idiot who rode his bike without oil. Surprise his engine sized and the service cost was over 1k. GREAT displeasure is an understatement, as I couldnt get these warranty-pushers to give up. This 10-minute ordeal undermined my confidence in their inventory. Watch the slight-of-hand pricing. Dealer-prep numbers etc changed, while sitting with the finance/cashier person.
I recently purchased my bike and besides enjoying the ride I really thought my buying experience was great. I purchased a cruiser and there is this guy there that's really knowledgeable about cruisers and knows how to cut thru the chase in getting to the bottomline. I recommend 1st time buyers.
What a cool place with some of the best deals I have seen. I will get my bike here every year. Thanks guys!
Feel the Rush!!!
- General Info
- It all started back in 1985 when Del Amo Motorsports was founded on Aviation Blvd in Redondo Beach, CA. This was a store that was only 6,000 square feet! Suzuki was the only brand of motorcycles we carried, but with our success, we were able to expand. From 1987 to 2002, we were able to add Kawasaki, Yamaha, Sea-Doo, and Ducati to our growing family. By 2002, we had to move- we had outgrown our building. We moved to our current location, 2500 Marine Ave in Redondo Beach, CA, which was a 25,000 sq ft building. In 2002, KTM was added to our dealership, then Can-Am in 2008. In 2002 we expanded our store to 35,000 sq feet, and in 2010 we again expanded to an astonishing 45,000 feet! Back in 2007, we decided to expand locations, and we acquired an entirely new location in Long Beach, CA. We did a massive renovation to the entire store, creating what is now Del Amo Motorsports of Long Beach. Over the years, we have gone from a single-line franchise to one of the largest dealerships in the nation. We have you, our customers, to thank for our awesome journey.
