Founded in 1966, St. Rose of Lima School is a Roman Catholic-based education providing institution that serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school follows the guidelines and standards of the Office of Catholic Schools Support Services of the Diocese of Brooklyn and the State of New York. Its facilities include a chapel, library, computer laboratory and resource room. St. Rose of Lima School offers Spanish, Aquinas and reading first programs. The school employs a nurse and guidance counselor. It maintains a student council and offers community support services for the American Cancer Society and the Holy Childhood Association. St. Rose of Lima School operates a math enrichment club and publishes newspapers.
