      This driving school is truly incredible, from their customer service to their road instruction skills! My instructor Jimmy was always on time, always professional, always calm and relaxed with me. He helped me get my license after not driving for 5 years. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? This old dog is back on the road again thanks to Mid Island Driving School!

      Welcome to one of the fastest growing driving schools on Long Island. We opened our doors in May of 2001; with no students, two employees and one car. To date we have trained over 12,000 new drivers with 18 dual controlled cars and a staff of 20. We credit our success with the friendly, courteous, professional service of our office staff and our NYSDMV Certified Driving Instructors. Also the many recommendations we receive from our students. It is fair to say the quality of a driving school can be determined by recommendations from its students. Also with the continued high marks we receive from the Directors of High School Driver Education programs that we service. Our promise to you is that we will continue to teach Safe Driving and Road Test Preparation as our number one goal. Why Choose Us: * Over 12,000 New Drivers Trained * Friendly, Courteous, & Professional * New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Certified Instructors Teen Drivers 16 and 17 Years Old: Effective February 22, 2010 all teen drivers must have 50 Hours of practice driving, with at least 15 hours of night time driving before taking the NYSDMV Road Test. This can be accomplished with a parent, professional driving school or in combination. We have cost effective programs to satisfy this requirement
