      Hawthorne Hotel, established in 1925 and located in Salem, Mass., is a federal-style hotel named after author Nathaniel Hawthorne, who spent his childhood in Salem. It offers more than 85 rooms and suites, and is furnished with 18th century-style reproduction furnishings. The hotel s amenities include color cable television, dual jacks in phones for computer modems, and complimentary wireless Internet access, local phone calls, and morning coffee service in the lobby. Its corporate meeting amenities include private in-house dining facilities, conference services, conference reception and breakout rooms, deluxe overnight accommodations, dataports for computers in guest rooms, audiovisual equipment, and Logan Airport shuttle service. Hawthorne Hotel also offers Nathaniel s, a restaurant serving seafood chowder, fried calamari, seafood stuffed mushrooms, nachos, boneless chicken tenders, lobster quesadilla, artichoke and spinach dip, fried mozzarella, and cheese and vegetable quesadilla. Nathaniel's has live piano entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
