We wanted to marry outdoors, so we went to the Knot to find what other brides suggest. Los Encinos was voted number one favorite for outdoor weddings two years in a row. Then we looked at some of the beautiful wedding videos they have on you tube and were pretty sure this was the place. Things got even better once we saw it in person. The grounds are soooo pretty, and Mrs. Dominguez the owner helped us plan every single thing. You must see this place to believe it. The other great bonus is they do the catering, they have a bartender, the table linen and bows, changing rooms, cake and flowers....everything you need almost. My family loved it and I would highly recommend it to anyone who always dreamed of an outdoor reception. Lexie Sampson

We had our wedding at Los Encinos this fall, and it was truly beautiful! We married at sunset and then had an outdoor dinner reception. Every detail was attended to, and our freinds and family are still telling us what a great time they had. Alamo Photographic did our pictures and wow are we so glad we chose to marry outside. We had Monte Vista Strings play for us and Exquisite Events by Julia as the event planner. All of the food was amazing and we had two really great, fun Los Encinos bars, one inside and one outside. Bertha, the owner was so sweet to us, we really enjoyed everything!

I don't know why the other reviewer had such a mean review, Los Encinos won the best wedding venue in the contest for outdoor weddings for the Knot.com, so obviously they are doing things right!

This place was terrible. Where do I even begin? My brother had his wedding there, and it was understaffed and unprofessional. The owner watered the garden area right at rehearsal time, so the ground was wet and muddy for both the rehearsal AND the wedding day. All the bridesmaids' and bride's stilletos were sinking into the mud. The lady who owns it (Bertha) was clearing tables and asking guests to hand her their napkins during the wedding toasts!! She also "served" the wedding cake - even though it was more like "butchered" the wedding cake! Even guests commented later on how she tore into it and plopped a slice on each plate. She came up to the bridesmaids 10 minutes before the wedding ceremony was about to start and asked us to "clean up" the dressing area. Unbelievable!! She also talked terribly to several of the wedding guests. She also booked a wedding rehearsal 30 minutes before my brother's ceremony was about to begin. So there was a whole other wedding party there rehearsing while guests were starting to arrive! During the dinner, she went out to the garden area and started raking rose petals into the trash while guests were right there watching and eating dinner. Even though she expects you to pay top dollar for her crappy venue (which parts of it are falling apart and desperately need maintenance work) ... she refuses to hire extra help. The groomsmen had to serve the champagne for the toast! Her son in law is her photographer, and he is okay, but terrible at shooting photos of children. Please beware and DO NOT waste your time, money and precious wedding day on this awful place!

I was the Maid of Honor for my cousin's wedding in December 07. The place is pretty and the food was tasty, but the management is awful! On the day of the wedding there had been inclement weather the day before and the morning of, but my cousin had her heart set on an outside wedding so she wanted to put a runner down so the mud wouldn't ruin everyone's dresses. So the owner, Bertha, tells us she doesn't have a runner, sorry, we'll have to have it inside. The bride got very upset, so the owner finally at the last minute tells us she has a runner. She had a runner the whole time and lied to us about it. Please save yourself some major heartache and choose another vendor with a kind and helpful owner-- no matter how pretty the place is if the person who's in charge of everything is making everyone's lives miserable during your special day-- it's just not worth it. Everyone was unhappy after this wedding except the bride (Thank God) because we dealt with the owner for her.

How beautiful the estate of Los Encinos is. We were at a wedding there and we were so in love with the place,I decided to start holding our annual Christmas parties for my office there. You have got to see it to believe it! I recommend it. The outdoor wedding ceremony was so charming!

How much fun did we have? My family and I were at Los Encinos for a wedding reception last Saturday. We loved it there. It was so beautiful it made me want to get married all over again!

This is a elegant estate for garden weddings in the hill country. The owner, Bertha and the event planner Julia really went out of their way to ensure our wedding had every detail I always dreamed of. I tell everyone how much we loved it there. One of the things we really appreciated is they handled everything and removed the stress of wedding planning. Also they allowed us to bring in our own wine, and that along with their margarita machine made our reception so much fun. The views were fantastic and our wedding photos are truly special because of how lovely and charming Los Encinos is.
