I would definitely stay here again. Normally we stay at one of the hotels down by Pier 39, but this time we wanted something different (i.e. nicer but less expensive) & chose Kabuki based on a recommendation from a friend.

1) Room rate was awesome -- $89 a night for a King Standard.

2) Easy & cheap on-site parking. DON'T use their Valet, use the public parking that is right below the hotel & has an elevator up to the hotel lobby.

3) Room furniture was modern, though the writing desk was placed at the foot of the bed, so when sitting there to use the computer (Free wi-fi!) the other person couldn't get from one side of the room to the other.

4) Sink/Vanity area of the bathroom 5 Stars.....shower was WEIRD, but perhaps that is the style in Japan? It lacked a curtain & the door to the shower room was glass. Also, we felt that had it been 2 friends or a family with older kids staying the bathroom would have been uncomfortable as there would be no privacy for the shower if someone wanted to use the sink area. Sliding Bamboo doors were cool though!

Overall I would definitely stay here again!

Kabuki Hotel- Very Satisfied

Our experience was completely opposite of the previous person. The Kabuki is a block away from the surgery center which was very convenient. When you walk into the hotel, you are immediately relaxed by the atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were very nice, clean and unique. We had a corner room which had the Japanese panels that could be pulled to cover the windows and were very beautiful. We were very impressed that we did not hear noise from outside. The bathrooms were very unique. Very clean! Japanese tub and separate shower which was perfect after surgery. We paid $129.00 + $10.00 for parking. We are going again next week and have chose to stay there again. Due to the day of surgery, the room is slightly higher - $159.00 which includes parking. Other rooms in the area were $239.00 + and good luck finding parking. I was quoted anywhere from $40.00 to $59.00 a day for parking at other hotels. If you book a room at the Kabuki two to three weeks in advance, they have rooms as low as $89.00. They have several different packages available. Thumbs Up --- we plan on visiting San Francisco under better circumstances in the future and are planning to stay at the Kabuki. Our Opinion ----- Thumbs Up!
