      Cityteam is a nondenominational Christian nonprofit compassionately serving the poor, the homeless, and the lost in San Jose, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, and around the world. Since 1957, Cityteam has been serving people in extreme poverty and helping them transform their lives, their families and their communities. Today, with the help of volunteers and faithful donors, Cityteam is impacting the lives of over 500,000 people each year just in the United States. We are training and equipping local leaders in 51 countries to love God, reach out to their neighbors, and disciple hundreds of thousands of people each year. Cityteam is founded on meeting local needs. Our programs in San Jose, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and Portland offer help and hope to those in need with hot meals, shelter, recovery programs or addiction treatment centers, clothing, hygiene items, and so much more. Each city has customized programs to specifically meet the needs of their community. As Christians, Cityteam is passionate about making disciples who make more disciples through mobilizing, training, and equipping local believers here in the United States and in over 50 international countries. We provide customized training for individuals and churches to become effective disciple-makers. In 1994, Cityteam began ministering and partnering with international leaders. Through Cityteam, God is raising up thousands of new churches and more than a million new believers in 51 countries across the world.
