I love the times I have been to Sea Mist campground. It is just the kind of location at which I have wanted to spend time since I moved here from NYC. There are a lot of friendly people that stay there and it is a gorgeous location and the pool is absolutely pristine. Over the years, I have been there visiting friends and family that camp there during the spring and summer months. There were only a few things that were troublesome. Since we and other family members are anxious to buy campers, I want to be sure we have places we would like to stay before making that investment. I have to be connected online often and found the Wi-Fi to be badly in need of an upgrade. There are many options now that would greatly help you serve your patrons much better. The boat ramp is unusable most of the time for our boat, and I would never go camping without my boat. How much do you think it would cost to get that fixed? I won't take a chance on damaging the boat. And, last, but not least, there is the unfair atmosphere of the management in charge. Initially, the office appears to be willing to accommodate a client that is interested in a permanent site for vacation use and those I asked agreed with this assumption. It is after a while when the client realizes that some of the management misuses their authority. An example of this can be found when a client asks about the rental of a choice permanent site for vacation use only, and the site becomes unavailable for rental, and when the site is used, it is used by an employee as a permanent residence. The lack of equity and inconsistency in various circumstances causes aggravation amongst the regular clients. I write this in hopes that it helps the owners know some things they could do to improve the desirability of their business. A suggestion would be to look into the attitude of the management along with possibly spending time there asking campers if they are treated respectfully, etc. Overall, Sea Mist is a gorgeous campground with lots of potential to be a top family campground.
