The Historic Windsor was built in 1884 as a miner's hotel. Purchased in 2013 from the family that owned it for over 100 years, the Windsor has been lovingly restored, keeping the Victorian flavor of the original building wherever possible, and opened in March 2014 as a Bed and Breakfast. Nestled in lovely Clear Creek Canyon in the mining town of Silver Plume (population 200) the Windsor provides a vintage experience for skiers, hikers or just a get-away from the city. Free continental breakfast allows guests an early start for the day. In the winter, chili or hearty soup is offered for those that do not wish to travel to Georgetown for supper.
