- Dental CareDoes your furry family have bad breath? Despite what many pet owners may believe, this is not just a nuisance, it’s a sign of an unhealthy mouth. Regular dental cleanings are important in maintaining not only your pet’s teeth and gums, but his or her overall health as well. During your pet’s dental cleaning procedure, we perform a comprehensive oral exam including dental charting and dental probing, followed by ultrasonic scaling and polishing using our Midmark dental unit. Scaling your pet’s teeth allows plaque buildup to be removed both above and below the gum line. Polishing is important as it creates a smooth tooth surface that is more resistant to future plaque buildup.
- VaccinationVaccines are products designed to trigger protective immune responses and prepare the immune system to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines stimulate the immune system’s production of antibodies that identify and destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body. The vaccines that your pet needs can vary, but there are several core vaccines that should be administered. Our doctors and staff will work with you to determine the best vaccination recommendations for your unique pet.

- MicrochippingIt’s estimated that 1 in 3 pets will go missing at some point in their life. Many pets don’t wear collars or tags, and it is important that your pet has a safe and reliable form of identification to ensure they return safely. We recommend using microchips which are small rice-sized devices that are placed under your pet’s skin for identification. Once placed, a microchip acts as your pet’s permanent ID storing important information such as your address and phone number. If your pet is lost, any veterinary hospital, animal shelter, or animal control can scan your pet with a microchip reader, and quickly return your pet to you.
