We, my 11 year old sons and I, stumbled upon Jim Clark tonight. We caught him before he was heading home. We suddenly got swept into an awesome and inspired free lesson that has me very excited to get in and focus on the technique, the rhythm, and really making music. He was able to pinpoint a few things that could help my young musicians and myself play better. Also, check out his students. He's got some really great young artists who are bang on the rhythm and the art of music.
Who ever would comment on personal problems blocking the effectiveness of Jim Clarks teaching ability should maybe consider addressing their own personal problems first. My mother taught me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. I'm 40 years old and have been playing guitar on and off for 30 years. I recently starting playing again after a 15 year break and feel like I have learned more in 3 months studying with Jim than all my years combined with other instructors. Jim has a way of figuring out how people tick and making a connection with them. He wears his heart on his sleeve . Music is much more than just learning theory and songs but a way to make a connection with other people. I feel like Jim has brought out the music in me and my playing is better than it ever has been. With running a business and raising 2 young boys I look forward every week to my lesson. Music is a great stress reliever.

Jim is a good guitar instructor. However, he has too many personal problems which now impact his business. He is no longer effective because of his personal problems. Unfortunately I can not recommend him any longer.
