Beware! DO NOT ask her any of your paperwork. Beware of this unprofessional paralegal Jolene Dashut. I was referred by Georgia Daniels in Pasadena. Jolene Dashut FORGOT to submit all my docs to the court and they were sitting in her office more than ONE year!! She has never responded to a single one of my calls, e-mails and letters.
One year later my divorce was still not finalized yet so I decided to visit her office again to find out whats going on. She wasn't there at that time so I kept calling her but never respond to my calls...and she finally called me back few days later and said all the papers were in her office....She FORGOT to submit my papers to the court!!!
I paid them over $2,000 and she didn't do her work. She never follow up on my case either. I requested her full refund but she ignored me.
Now my case number is expired and I have to start over again.
I had to pay $400 court fee again and I had to spend more money, time and stress to fix this problem. I was not so angry at first. It's horrible and it's definitely unprofessional but everyone make mistakes.
I am very upset about her attitude. She completely ignored me after this happened not even try to fix the problem. When I submitted to the court they estimated my divorce will finalized sometime next year which means more than 2 years since I started it. It's incense. My case is simple uncontested case should be finalized long time ago!
One month later I got all my papers back from court!! They were all rejected which were Jolene Dashut made them for me. She made so many mistakes!!! She kept messing up over and over again. Some of the docs are old law has been changed over a year, few docs were missing, letter needs to be update and many many more. I did not get anything other than trouble. I emailed her again but no response to my emails.
Another month later she finally responded to my email because she read review. She asked me to delete this but didn't agree with refund. That's not right. People should know about this. I will keep posting.
I am still waiting for my refund. I hired lawyer and my lawyer said paralegal is illegal in California to give legal advice unless you are licensed by the state bar, so if anyone else is giving you advice, they are either a criminal or too ignorant about the law to not break it themselves! I spent so much money and time for this. Divorce is already stressful but she adding more stress on me.
Horrible, will never use or recommend and will continue to pass the word around.
