We hired Daniel to replace the floors in our house and we are very sad that we fell for his trap. From day 1, he did not promise to do anything because he hired guys who did not speak English and they did not listen to me and he would show up at the end of the day around 7 and would pretend he was doing correcting everything which he did not. On the last day of work, they did not clean our house and left with pile of dust all over our furniture. He sent a text on the last day saying he is going out of town for emergency and will be back the next day but instead he disappeared for 5 days with no communication at all. They messed up the grout through the entire floor and it started chipping out within 1 month of completion. They never came back to put sealer on because he disappeared for 5 days and did not pay the tile installers. We sent texts, voicemails. Emails and still no response from him and this is all part of his job and covered under warranty for 180 days. He took 40% payment up front and took the rest of the check from us in full without completing the work. He might give cheap quote but his work is cheap quality and he hires illegal immigrants who speak no English and use translator to understand English for his work and takes double commission. Now I am paying another contractor to come and apply sealer because all the tiles are full of haze from the grout and paying out of pocket. They did not apply caulking anywhere where they supposed to apply. I thought I will share our story for other people so they don’t feel the same way we are feeling right now and feel ripped off. Please Please hire someone who takes responsibility for their work and not people like Daniel.
