Star Industries were founded in 1934 in a small store in Sunnyside, Queens, New York. It has grown into importers and suppliers of choice wine and spirits. The hard alcohol selection varies include vodka, Scotch whiskey and French brandy. The more rare variety of sprits imported by Star is called Cachucha, which is a drink distilled from sugar cane and then aged in Amendiom. Star s brand name is called Pirapora Cachaca, which the company claims to be one of the highest rated Cachacas in Brazil. Many brands Star markets and imports are on the low to mid-price range tier of sprits available in the United States. The wine varieties and brands are mostly imported from California and Australia.
