A Happy Hollow Preschool is based on the belief that the children's needs and education are of the utmost importance. We are entirely committed to meeting those needs. Through the accredited preschool program we use and the additional activities added to the curriculum, we are able to offer the children a broad range of learning styles. Every child is encouraged to explore their own unique creativity and learn vital skills necessary to their development. The children are also able to explore their environment and learn, at their own pace, through the centers that are set up around the classroom, as well as arts and crafts, school projects and circle time where we do the daily weather updates, music and movement and the calendar. We offer Hooked on Phonics for the students that are between the ages 4-5, however, everyone learns with this program when they are exposed to it. We have added Zoo Phonics this fall to enhance our curriculum. This is used in several Kindergarten classes in the area and is a wonderful way to help the children relate sounds and pictures with actions to letters as animals in their shape. The children picked up on this within 4 weeks.
