Was looking to get my trout of a lifetime done in a real skin mount. Called Brian and he delivers a beautiful mount back to me. Have nothing negative to say about the mount. And will continue to bring my trophies to him.

Brian's Taxidermy is the place to come to for quality work. If you are all about having something done fast; do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Brian is a small artistic taxidermist who creates unusual work thru his artistic talents. Brian still uses the old fashion tannery for hides, so your hide won't slip. He has done many of my deer heads and he hasn't let me down on any of them. His pricing is competitive with area taxidermist. Come here for quality work; don't come here to just BS, he doesn't have time. He has been a taxidermist for about 30 years; therefore, he has a vast amount of experience.

I've used Brian's Taxidermy since 2007 and he has done many shoulder/pedestal mounts for me, ranging from standard whitetails to African & Indian animals. I've never had any qualms about the quality work he does, which is comparable to Hibler's Taxidermy that does much of the King Ranch mounts. Some have been ready in 4 months, some around one year ... just depends upon type of mount & the many other mounts that may be in front of "yours" on their schedule. Good job Brian!

Finally after 1 year and 2 months almost to date we JUST NOW picked up our deer. WOW, is all I have to say about the service and the customer service we received from Brian's Taxidermy! The lady actually had the nerve to tell us that "taxidermist are a tight nit family and he has officially been put on their black list". Are you kidding me! We waited 1 year and 2 months for our deer and you think we are going out on some list. UGH! Please please please to all our fiends and family... Take our advice and stay very clear of Brian's Taxidermy on 249 at Boudreaux. When comparing the mount to our numerous other mounts they are very similar so his work is average and definitely not worth waiting this long for. Never will use him again or refer him for anything.

I've known Brian for a long time. He mounted my first trophy buck 15 years ago and it still looks great! A small story to help you understand a bit about Brian's Taxidermy: I was very excited about getting my trophy back. He told me the buck would take approx 6-7 months. After 8 months, words were exchanged and I swore to never go back. 3 Years and 4 trophies later I had to tape my nuts up and go back. None of the other taxidermist measured up. My wife got her first trophy and wanted it to look as good as my first. I hoped Brian wouldn't remember me but he did. I had to apologize and told him I don't care if he takes 2 years! Now I have several trophies that look fantastic. I brought Brian a bobcat this February- said he wasn't taking new clients for a while cause his box is full. Glad I'm a repete customer! If your trophy looks rushed, it's cause you rushed him!

Contrary to the poor reviewer, I've used Brian's Taxidermy for many years and have found his work to be superior to most other shops...including Hibler's in Kingsville. Plus he will work with you to make your mount a unique piece of artwork. I've had turkey's, whitetail deer, and numerous exotics done there, both European & full shoulder mounts; all very exquisitely done & at a fair price. David L, Spring, TX

Had 3 hides with multiple cuts put in them when getting them tanned. Had a coyote trappers pelt done and he didn't even take the time to turn the ears back out. Traded with a hide for partial euro mount, he bleached the back of the horn bases and didn't even try to touch it up. Also, on my elk mount, they cut the hide - along the lip did a very poor job stitching it (visible), looked like it had a tootsie roll stuck under the nose, bondo slop was found on the horns, tearducts were plastered with brown filler, and ordered the wrong form and didn't do the customizations to the pose we agreed upon and I paid extra for!
