I had vsp insurance & barry blonder did reasonably competent eye exam; nothing exceptional but nothing to complain about either. he seems qualified & competent. he understandably runs thru large number of patients to maximize business but he did all eye tests for me he was supposed to. however, he and his staff put pressure to buy expensive upgrades like scratch resistant coating or progressive instead of line bifocals which my insurance would not cover so if you are not assertive you may end up paying a lot more than you had planned
