The best way to determine the quality of a nursing facility is to visit the facility first hand or ask a family member of someone who has experienced the home. The rating system is set by the state of IL which is hungry for fines and more revenue. Diffences(Tags) are a way for the state to recieve more revenue and therefore issue them to facilities without worthy cause. These tags tarnish the reputatation of smaller facilities which care about their residents. Larger facilities are corporate owned and apply more pressure on the state of IL which lower their tags and boost their rate. This home has a good sucess record in rehabilitating residents making it possible for them to return home. It also has a family like atmosphere which shows in the faces of the residents. Behaviors are minimal and staff are friendly. This is more important to me than how many sprinklers are in a facility, or how long it takes before a door burns.
