My husband and I purchased a setting and put OUR certified diamond from another band in this new setting purchased at Kays in the Waldorf mall. The lady (assistant manager who I believe is very shady/con)..well, she encouraged us to have her write the purchase up as an exchange so we can save 200 dollars more (which the setting itself was 2500.00 and because it was written up as an exchange we got it for 2275.00) BUT without realizing or knowing it, the ring appears in their system as valuing at 2275.00, when the ring in the store (complete setting with their center diamond not our cert.) is purchased for 5400.00 non certified!..Which means she wrote it up like that so the value significantly depreciated by 3325.00..I found all this out when I brought the ring in to be fixed and diamonds be replaced because 3 of them popped off 3 weeks after purchasing the ring (which the lady was trying to say I purposely popped the diamonds out and messed the ring up so the warranty wouldn't be valid), but after continuously repeating the truth that I did not purposely or intentionally damage the ring in any way it was sent out and she said they will "try" to fix it and see what they can do. After my husband called up there (he is the one who purchased it and its under his name) they told him the warranty does cover the diamonds and they will be replaced. To make a long story as short as possible Waldorf store more than sucks and the assistant manager who sold us the ring is VERY shady so be on your toes if you deal with her or better yet don't go there at ALL...Because of her and that store, if for any reason it is sent out and they loose MY ring (purchased setting without center stone and put our cert. diamond in) they will only replace it for 2275.00 when the ring cost 5400.00 in the store!!!(I cant even get the same ring I have for that replacement value) all because the person who "helped" us knew exactly what she was doing when she wrote the purchase up as an exchange when it was not an exchange!!....
