      In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am - we've got something for everyone.       Growling mad

      I have eaten at a few Black Bear Diners and I have always loved them, they are normally a fun and enjoyable place to dine and the portions are just GINORMAS. That is until I went to this one. 1 1/2 hours to get the food, the orders were wrong, cold and just not up to their standards according to the menu. The manager didn't have a clue as to what he should do about it. So I tried it on another day just to be fair and got the same bad, unhappy service, wrong order, and just lack of any thing that resembled other Black Bear Diners
