Program: Business & Environment initiative.NEEF is carbon neutral through 2010 thanks to Baxter International Inc Baxter purchased carbon credits through the Chicago Climate Exchange ( CCX ). Through the Exchange, NEEF has eliminated its estimated carbon footprint through offsets through 2010.NEEF's energy usage for the four-year period was estimated and Baxter purchased an equivalent investment in renewable energy to offset the estimated carbon footprint. This page has more information on how CCX offsets work.Washingtonian Magazine named NEEF one of the area's best places to work in its November 2009 issue.
