Founded in 1967, The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) works to instill in young people an appreciation for the American form of government and the free-enterprise system. Based in Washington, D.C., the organization sponsors institutes that teach college students about the principles and values upon which the United States was founded. It organizes various programs in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America for college and university students who are interested in the areas of public policy, journalism, international affairs, business, government and related fields.
