General Info
Greetings in the name of the Heaven Born Prince of Peace our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this message, we are highlighting the Christmas Holiday Season. With the ongoing litany of the war in Iraq, the genocidal atrocities in The Sudan, the senseless loss of life through the avoidable pandemic of HIV/AIDS, the escalation of violence in our streets and schools, the crimes of man's inhumanity to man, I can't help but sense that during the celebration of the birth of God's only begotten Son that well need to pray that the peace that we witness around the world for Christmas Day would be perpetuated all year round! Rev. Winston C. Ridley, Jr., is originally from Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Introduced to Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age, Rev. Ridley was licensed July 13, 1980, under Rev. A.R. Cardwell, serving as Associate Minister until December 1984. He began working in the Rodman Street Baptist Church with Rev. Delano R. Paige. In October 1986, Rev. Ridley became pastor-elect of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was ordained in November 1986 and began work with the Mount Olive Baptist Church, Coraopolis, PA. Rev. Ridley was invited to preach at Greater First in October 2000. He was called to pastor Greater First on January 27, 2001. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. May 13, 2006, Rev. Ridley graduated from Howard University's School of Divinity, receiving his Master of Divinity degree. Rev. Ridley is married to Bonita LuRose
