A creative oasis among recording studios in Wisconsin.

General Info
Located in Waupaca, Wisconsin, Muse Recording (formerly Chain-O-Lakes Recording) has been providing audio production services since 2003, for projects of all sizes and musical styles, ranging from amateur to professional. Among recording studios in Wisconsin, Muse is one of the most versatile and musician-friendly, attracting clients from a wide geographic area that includes Antigo, Wausau, Stevens Point, Appleton, Milwaukee, Madison, and even Chicago. Recording projects have included styles such as rock, jazz, folk, classical, metal, electronica, country and hiphop. Muse has also produced other kinds of projects, such as radio advertisements, spoken word, instructional, and in-house corporate communication. In addition to many local independent artists, Muse has also completed projects with area organizations such as the Monteverdi Chorale, the Wausau Lyric Choir, the Waupaca Fine Arts Festival, and Sentry Insurance. In ancient mythology, the "muse" was considered the source of inspiration for the arts. As this studio has grown developed over the past several years, it has become apparent that this is different from a typical studio--where you set up, perform, pay your money, and get your recording. It is also a creative oasis, where you can find the personal and artistic support that will help you produce your best work. You may need this sort of assistance, or you may not--whatever works for you is what we provide. Some artists have even come in with nothing more than sketches of musical ideas, and after working with producer Mike Barden through the process, come away with a full-length, commercial quality CD! That's why Muse Recording is not only a studio, but a creative oasis among recording studios in Wisconsin. It's also support system, especially to help if you are lacking in areas of experience or information about recording. If you've wanted to record, but have little or no studio experience, you may be a little apprehensive about getting involved in a recording project. But helping you walk through the process, with whatever support you need, is exactly what Muse Recording is all about. This is your studio and your support system. Standard studio services include tasks such as recording (or "tracking"), digital editing, mixing, and mastering; any good studio should provide these things. Muse Recording not only provides these services with quality and professionalism, but also any additional resources you may need, for example:Help with completing or arranging your songsProfessional piano or guitar accompanimentMusical performance coachingAccess to a statewide network of professional instrumentalistsPractical guidance with often-misunderstood areas of copyright, CD manufacturing options, niche marketing and artist promotion.
