This place is not like the other El Tapatio restaurants. It's not a chain, but unfortunatly they have the same name. The food here is EXCELLENT!!! I'm not exagerating either! They use the freshest ingredients, so even for someone who absolutely hated guacamole, found herself taking huge bites of the green stuff! The chips are not hard, but crunchy and fresh. The salsa is always great, unlike other Mexican restaurants in the area where it's either hit or miss. My favorite item is the Burrito Tapatio... it comes with this tapatio sauce and cheese, omg just great great food. The service is pretty decent too. You learn who to try to get when you go in and seat yourself. The men are all pretty great servers! I'm always comfortable and never feel rushed! All in all, don't judge this book by the cover, and don't think it's like the others with the same name. It's on Philadelphia Pike and it's destined to become your family favorite!!!

Highly recommended!! One of our favorite local restaurants. My family has been eating here for over 10 years. We eat in. We take out. The food is not the average Mexican fare of cheese, beans, ground meat, and tortillas that is thrown together by many other local restaurants. This food has flavor!! You can actually taste everything! The pork and beef dishes are excellent. Their shrimp cocktail is to die for! The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. Its has been located in the same converted convenience store for at least 12 years. It is always clean and comfortable. So, don't let the outside stop you from tasting what's inside.

Great food, great prices, I wouldn't eat mexican any other place, I am always happy with the service.
