Awful experience!!! I was referred by a friend to call Tom. so I called a was given a quote of $200.00 for what I wanted done and that it would only take 2 days. I dropped off some suspension components to be powder coated red. Genni called 2 days later after dropping off notifying me that it would be $125 more(now up to $325.00) because they have to take some of the components apart and "The powder you picked was the most expensive red I have ever ". All in all, I agreed because they had my parts and I was creeping up on a deadline to have this done. I picked up the parts a week later(not 2 days) and the components were missing color in various spots. Not only that when I took the suspension to another shop to install it the color started flaking with no force at all. the worst part about that is that they powder coated red over something that was already powder coated!!!! The install shop for the suspension called me to notify me that the install was taking longer than expected because all of the suspension joints were mix matched.(costing me another $160.00) and 2 different grease fittings were missing in the boxes that I gave to Sunset.when I reached out to Sunset Powder Coating they said "I have talked this over with Tom and we are not a suspension shop, we thought we were doing you a favor having the guys taking apart and putting back together. Also about the color flaking that can happen when existing powder coat is not stripped. We can't make touch up paint from powder, but you can go to" and gave me a site to follow for touch up paint!!!!! So not only are they telling me they did me a favor that I paid for they don't stand behind their work! further more they never told me the color may not last over the black. its been over a week and a half since I picked up the suspension and my vehicle is still in the shop. long story short they offered me a $100.00 store credit(knowing I would never return)I would NEVER recommend them. customers beware!!!! poor service and professionalismthis is their mission statement.......lol Mission Statement:We are not a company without our customers.
