I honestly cannot recommend Summit enough. Having recently graduated and currently attending a large, public, and secular university, I feel that the emphasis Summit places on developing strong communication skills in its students has prepared me to face the opposition I face here. The writing program unique to Summit not only teaches students WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and in a way that will allow them to analyze any idea they come across. It is this approach that has given me the confidence to share and defend my faith in both an intelligent and winsome way in college. For example, I am a regular attendee at the meetings of our campus atheist organization, and meet weekly with Mormon missionaries to discuss theology. Without my training at Summit, I never would have felt equipped to handle the objections to Christianity I face on a day-to-day basis. Summit has taught me how to be an effective ambassador for Christ wherever I go, placing emphasis on developing knowledge, wisdom,

Summit is a wonderful school. All 3 of my sons graduated from Summit, each one trained to think critically and express themselves well. The senior year culminates in a 2 week trip to Europe and a senior thesis presentation before faculty, parents, and peers. I am thankful for the education they received from this classical environment.

Summit has had quite the impact on my communication skills. In fact, I believe it has had the greatest impact on shaping my communication style. I attended Summit from Kindergarden through high school. They place an emphasis on three critical areas that have an impact on one's communication ability: Grammar, Dialect, and Rhetoric. From essentially first through sixth grade an emphasis was placed on learning the facts. From seventh through ninth grade we were taught logic and debate. This was crucial in teaching me how to determine the validity of one's arguments. From tenth through twelfth grade an emphasis was placed on application of the dialectic stage. Here we were taught speech and research. My career at Summit ended after the presentation of my thesis. I had to pick a topic, research it, create multiple logical arguments both for and against my topic and present it to a panel of judges. Summit did a fine job at preparing me to communicate clearly and effectively.

As a student at Summit, I didn't really have a choice to attend SCA or not. And for a while I wasn't sure that Summit was my favorite place to be. BUT KEEP READING. Summit and the experience it provides is SO worth it. Having been at Summit since K4 and having just recently graduated, I truly am a "product" of the school. And I didn't really realize how valuable my education experience was until I started college. The knowledge and understanding of rhetoric and critical thinking I gained from Summit is a skill my peers have only just begun to understand. Summit taught me how to learn, and not just process information. The relationship I had with teachers and friends is incomparable. We truly are a Summit Family and the friends I have from SCA will be my best friends even as we move on our separate ways. The spiritual guidance I received at Summit has prepared me to be a witness for Christ and to follow Him even on my own at college. I'm running out of room, but CHOOSE SUMMIT!!!

As a homeschooling family, we have been blessed to participate in Summit's sports programs. Homeschoolers have few options for JV and Varsity sports since they cannot participate in public school sports. Summit's community welcomed us with open arms. We enjoyed helping support the programs as well as participating in them. The coaches made a huge difference for my children with their Christian approach to sports and their daily example of a Christian life. The friendships developed are also precious. We learned a lot about Summit's academic through the students and teachers. It was beneficial to strive to keep our homeschool curriculum on par with the amazing education at Summit. I would recommend Summit to anyone looking for a strong Christian atmosphere demonstrated through the daily lives of the students and teachers

Best choice we ever made was to partner with Summit in educating our children. The classical model of education truly teaches children how to THINK and teaches them the art of learning. Summit graduates are the future leaders and disciples of tomorrow.
