Refused to treat my dog in an emergency without a $500 cash deposit. Did offer to kill my dog for free. Dog was in serious condition and in terrible pain. It was all about the money. Crater Road Veterinary Hospital was superb and was very reasonable with their charges. HAH had Hopewell Animal Control tell me I owed them $79.80(for nothing)
I recommend that anyone that loves their animals stay away and avoid Hopewell Animal Hospital or Hopewell Animal Control. They are all about the money not service or love.
Had the audacity to send a card for rabies vx in 1/09/2018.

i have a lab mix that, in the last 3years has decided vets are NOT to be liked - Dr.Harrison is great with her - even when she's Not in the mood to be examined......

Dr. Harrison and his associates are very caring vets. They are very careful in making sure your pet gets the care it deserves but are also cautious about ordering unneccessary tests and they always give you options and explain pros and cons. The staff takes the time to get to know you and your pets and they are quite generous with treats, which makes my dogs very happy campers! The new facility is wonderful with a large waiting room. Appointments are kept on time so you won't spend tons of time waiting to be seen.

This is a very caring and concerned vet hospital, Dr Harrison is a true gem with both the pets and owners. We are lucky to have such a facility in our area, and their boarding is also great, no worries when Ester is taking care of my pet!!!

This is one of the best vet clinics in the State of Virginia. DVM Michael Harrison is probably the very best vet that I have ever had for my pets in over 40 years. He is the most caring, knowledgeable, thorough vet I have yet to know. He is always checks the next day to see how your pet is doing as well. No matter how busy he will always try to see you and make sure your pet is taken care of. The others are great too. The entire staff at this facility goes out of their way to assist you and make you and your pets fill like this is your family and the want you to be taken well care of. I have visited vet clinics all over the U.S. and this is by far the best one that I have found. We are very fortunate to have them in this area. The service is exceptional and the staff is outstanding. You will be pleased.

We have been using Hopewell Animal Hospital for 16years. They are great. The doctors, staff and we love Esther. She is the only person in the world I would trust leaving my dogs with when we have to go out of town. Great new office.

I've gone to several vets in the Tri-Cities area, but I won't take my animals anywhere but Hopewell. The doctors have seen me through some of the worst times with some of my animals and they are my top choice for anything animal related. My mother's dog goes to VCA in Heights, but I feel Hopewell is so much better. They remember your name, your pets, they are very knowledgeable, they don't charge you stupid fees, and they aren't nearly as expensive as any other vet. They care more about getting your animal well and taking care of it, then about the money.
