Great food, great cantina! My wife and I have been enjoying meals at Viva Zapata for years. It's one of the few places in the area where you can get great Mexican food. The margaritas are excellent and the rugged atmosphere is lively and fun.
the whole dining experience was great! I went with 2 friends as a group of 3, and we were able to sit right away; the drinks are said to be the best in the county,and I can see why! service was great, but the food was even better. the nachos grande are the best. the atmosphere is great. the place is filled with old books, and authentic decor. the staff is friendly, they treat everyone like the "regulars" who go as much as possible. I will definitely be going back soon, especially when it gets warm, to be able to sit outside on the outdoor patio!
If you like good a Margarita and don't mind hanging out with the 25 and under crowd (especially in Summer eves) then this is the place for you. Parking is usually a drag.
